This is a antique oriental rug from the village of Little Bytham. It has had quite a history since first, hand woven many years ago. Look closely at the shape of the rug (crescent shaped) Stresses created during the original weaving process have relaxed over time resulting in the rug losing its shape.

This is something we cannot correct but if processed without care, could be made a lot worse. Even when drying a Rug can be distorted.
