Two Viscose Fibre Rugs in our workshop

Avoid spilling drinks and water on viscose carpets and rugs. Check the label on the back of your rugs. If you have a rug with viscose fibres, please be very careful how you clean it.

Viscose is a fibre made from natural products like wood. They are known to professional cleaners as cellulose fibres. If wet, the fibres can bleed a cellulose browning. This may result in a loss of sheen and a permanent brown stain. For advice please call Weaver UK Ltd.

Pictured here are two viscose rugs, in our intensive care workshop, one we managed to save. The other was beyond recovery as unfortunately the customer had tied to make the stain vanish!
