This is a high value “Jacaranda Rug” from the village of Exton, cleaned on site for the client earlier this week.
Jacaranda are manufacturers and suppliers of beautiful, luxury broad loom carpets and rugs. The head office is based near Market Harborough.

The heavy coffee table is removed on blue “sliders”, prior to vacuuming the rug.
Sliders, facilitate the movement of heavy objects on fine fabrics to prevent scaring and distortion of fibres.
Sliders also avoid stressing the furniture.
Sliders also prevent plucking the weave and scratching hard floors – they also save over straining the body.
The Tencel fibres are then cleaned with a special dry-cleaning compound from “Host”. Critically, this minimises moisture content with the Tencel fibres.
There are a few small stains on this rug that need specific attention with products engineered for specific spills.
There are also 4 very set impressions from the legs of the marble table. These are crushing the fibres but coasters would look out of place in this situation.
There is an option to use “off cuts” of carpet under the rug strategically placed to act as shock absorbers.
The rug is then vacuumed and groomed.
These types of rugs, must be cleaned with great care a precision.
