We are seeing an increasing number of oriental rugs passing through our workshop.

Is this because of sanitizing and disinfecting, during Covid19? No. It is simply, that our customers recognise the importance of cleaning and the effect that this has of extending the life of a precious oriental rug.
The removal of grit, salts, sand and soil, by vibration machines, protects the individual fibres from the most aggressive type of dirt. In addition, the careful removal of stains, helps keep rugs looking vibrant and in pristine condition.
The Oriental Rug (shown here on the right) is from the entrance hall of a house in Oakham – collected a few days ago, it has been vibrated to remove grit and salts, that would otherwise harm the fibres. It has now had the first of three “woolsafe” cleaning processes and can be seen on the cover picture hanging on the drying frame.
Our workshop, is fully kitted out, with all of the machines, tools and solutions to clean and dry any type of Rug. All Rugs are quarantined on arrival for 72hrs. (Covid19 precautions). All rugs are then inspected, prior to processing and any problems or concerns identified and reported to the client. Rugs are vacuumed, vibrated and cleaned using the most appropriate method for the rug type, construction, fragility and colour stability. You rug is in expert hands.
